The Colleton Historical Society was organized to preserve historical materials, encourage protection of historic buildings, promote an appreciation of Colleton County's architectural assets, and place historical markers at important sites.

Restoration Project (Pon Pon Chapel of Ease): Pon Pon enclosure is in need of repair.

CCHAPS awarded $19,000 matching grant by the South Carolina National Heritage Corridor, to be used to stabilize and repair the ruins at Pon Pon Chapel of Ease.

 

 

Iron enclosure at Pon Pon that will be repaired along with the other projects.
